knowingly cursing me to the knowledge of my worth
He said "Son, trust me, for I control the Sun"
I said "Father, leave me be, for I can quickly run"
Now I think upon myself, what if I stayed in his temple of love;
to be trapped in the Marble mountain of the vaulted skies above.
Would I know truth, justice, peace, respect?
or would I live solitude, loneliness, fear, and neglect.
One cannot say, for neither can truly I
I suppose mankind will have to wait
searching the empty sky.
